Dissolved air flotation is a well know technology to remove suspended solids (TSS), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), fats, oils and grease (FOG), phosphorus (P) or nutrients from industrial wastewater.
DAF-units are used for preliminary or complete wastewater treatment, as a part of the physicochemical treatment complex. Operating principle is based on Dissolved Air Flotation process, used for the separation of suspended solids, oil and greases.
DAF systems are commonly used to meet a variety of treatment goals including:
- Product recovery and reuse;
- Pretreatment to meet sewer discharge limits;
- Pretreatment to reduce loading on downstream biological treatment systems;
- Biological treatment effluent;
- Thickening of biosolids.
ESMIL DAF-units can be offered as a separate product or integrated in a complete solution. Fifteen (15) different models to meet a variety of applications and flow ranges 8-1,300 cfh.
