In cooperation with Archer Separation, Esmil Corp. commissioned our first Dissolved Air Flotation unit (DAF) in Canada at a fish processing facility near Vancouver Island. The DAF successfully separates fish farm byproducts from ocean-bound effluent water at a rate of up to 40 m3/h (176 GPM). The new DAF is capable of more than 15 times TSS reduction from 1200 ppm to 80 ppm.
The DAF system is combined with a Fluidized Bed Reactor and chemical dosing that mixes peroxide into untreated water for oxidation. The two systems together can be remotely accessed and are fully integrated into an HMI for simple, efficient, and cost-effective treatment of fish water waste.
