At Booth 1501, we will showcase two ESMIL–Tsurumi devices for mechanical sludge dewatering – the MDQ Multi-Disc Screw Press and the JD Roller Press. Each is designed to handle different sludge characteristics and process conditions.
MDQ Multi-Disc Screw Press (ESMIL-Tsurumi)
Different sludge types, low operating requirements and effective dewatering – these are the key advantages of the ESMIL–Tsurumi MDQ Multi-Disc Screw Press.
The MDQ screw press is designed to dewater municipal and industrial sludge, including sludge containing fats, oils and grease (FOG). Its low-speed, self-cleaning design helps reduce energy and wash water consumption as well as wear on mechanical components, resulting in lower day-to-day operating costs.
Depending on sludge characteristics, the ESMIL-Tsurumi MDQ Multi-Disc Screw Press can achieve 18-40% dry solids in the dewatered sludge cake.

JD Roller Press (ESMIL-Tsurumi)
High mineral content? Abrasive sludge? The ESMIL-Tsurumi JD Roller Press was designed specifically for these operating conditions.
The JD dewatering press is designed to dewater sludge containing 40-60% mineral solids, which can be challenging for conventional dewatering technologies due to its characteristics. It can process feed sludge with a solids concentration of 0.5-5% and, depending on sludge characteristics, achieve up to 50% dry solids in the dewatered sludge cake.
This makes the ESMIL–Tsurumi JD Roller Press suitable for municipal wastewater treatment plants as well as industrial, agricultural and food processing facilities where sludge characteristics require equipment capable of handling a high proportion of mineral solids and abrasive material.
