In May 2018 ESMIL Industrial Group launched AP KV aeration system in Melody Village WWTP No 10, OH. Here, biological oxidation of wastewater pollutants takes place in two two-section aeration tanks, 860 ft2 each. Outdated membrane disc diffusers were replaced with 105 ft of AP KV tube diffusers in one of the tanks. After the launch, total electricity consumption was reduced by 6 % on average. It is worth noting that if an existing aeration system had been replaced in the second aeration tank as well as an aerobic digester, the savings would have been at least twice bigger!
